President's WelcomeWelcome to GWAC’s 2023-2024 Bar Year! Greetings GWAC Members, Friends, and Supporters, Welcome to the 2023 -2024 GWAC bar year! It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the 2023-2024 Bar Year. I am extremely humbled and honored to serve as GWAC's president during this term. The theme for this bar year is "A Legacy of Leadership." This year, GWAC will celebrate 50 years of service to the Washington, DC area, which it has accomplished by supporting black women in their journeys through law school, the bar, and throughout their legal careers. This year we will honor our history and celebrate our Founding President, Barbara E. Whiting-Wright, Past Presidents, and the amazing lawyers within our ranks. By learning their stories and accomplishments that constitute GWAC's rich legacy, we will be inspired to achieve our goals and add to that legacy. Yours in Service, |
